Chiara Parrini (violin) tours worldwide as a member of the celebrated Italian chamber orchestra I Solisti Veneti, directed by Claudio Scimone. As a result of this collaboration, initiated in 1990, she has performed across Europe, Japan, Canada, Mexico, China, Australia, North and South America, appearing as soloist at the Musikverein (Vienna), Tchaikovsky Hall (Moscow), Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall, Teatro alla Scala (Milan), Tel Aviv Performing Arts Center, Victoria Concert Hall (Singapore), Teatro de Bellas Artes (Mexico City), State Hermitage Museum (St. Petersburg), Auditorium Santa Cecilia (Rome), Herbst Theatre (San Francisco), Teatro Carreno (Caracas), and many other such venues. One of her recent performances, for the Italian Senate, was broadcast live across Europe; other recordings include videos of Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons (TDK Mediactive – RAI Trade, 2004) and Gloria and Other Sacred Works (Dynamic, 2006), as well as Albinoni’s “Il Concilio de’ Pianeti” (Medianova, 2009).Chiara holds degrees from the conservatories of Padua (Italy) and Basel (Switzerland), and gave her successful graduation recital as a scholarship student of the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad (Switzerland) in the presence of Sir Yehudi Menuhin himself. Her principal teachers were Gino Francesconi, Paolo Ceccaroli, Piero Toso, and Alberto Lysy; she also studied viola with Johannes Eskar.
